SCOTTSDALE PALMS BY SUNLIGHT & MOONLIGHT
~ ACCUSTOMED, CEREMONIOUS ~
"Our souls are some glorious substance of the divine that no sentry wants to stop. Live without thought of dying, for dying is not a truth. We have swayed on the sky's limb together, many years there the same leaves grow." ~ St. Catherine of Siena, 1347 - 1380 ~ |
"They kiss sometimes when no one is looking, the sun and moon. Why are they so shy before us -- haven't we all seen someone making love?" ~ St. Catherine of Siena, 1347 - 1380 ~ 14th - Century Scholastic philosopher and theologian |

On the last day of the world
I would want to plant a tree
what for
not for the fruit
the tree that bears the fruit
is not the one that was planted
I want the tree that stands
in the earth for the first time
with the sun already
going down
and the water
touching its roots
in the earth full of the dead
and the clouds passing
one by one
over its leaves
